Roadmap

What should Screen UI build next?

This is a loose working list, not a contract. Some ideas are obvious next steps, some are experiments, and the best ones may come from people using Screen UI for real demos.

On the list

A few things currently worth exploring.

Priority can change as Screen UI gets sharper. Customer pain carries more weight than a tidy internal list.

Planned direction

Better slides

Slides already help product demos feel more structured. The next pass is about making them more useful: animation options, richer styling controls, stronger reusable templates, and a faster way to keep launch videos on brand.

Planned direction

Editor templates

A saved template should remember the editor choices you keep repeating: canvas style, backgrounds, camera layout, captions, cursor treatment, export defaults, and other preferences that make a demo feel like yours.

Planned direction

Global shortcuts

Recording should be easy to start from wherever you are on the Mac. Global shortcuts would make it faster to begin a capture without hunting for the recording bar first.

Maybe

Voiceover

This could mean editing a transcript or writing one over silent footage, then generating a voice recording on the fly. There is also room to explore AI avatar workflows where they genuinely help a demo.

Idea

Hyperframes experiments

A possible future experiment is connecting Hyperframes with a local AI agent so Screen UI can help generate product release demos and bring more assistive editing tools into the workflow.

Feature requests

Tell me what would save you time.

The most useful requests include what you are trying to make, what currently feels slow, and what a good version of the feature would let you stop doing manually.
